Petting Farm & Kids Play Area
Appleberry Orchard Petting Farm is located in our 1882, historic barn. Complete with windowed cupola, this historic barn is registered as a National Historic Site. Inside the barn, your family will find goats, a miniature donkey, chickens, turkies, ponies, and albino Wallaby, Jasper. Be sure to check our News and Events page for upcoming activities as well as market specials.
You might also be interested to know that the first apple tree was planted on this farm in 1852, making Appleberry Orchard the oldest working orchard in the state of Iowa.
Delicious Treats Too!
In addition to our terrific, made from scratch pies, breads, cookies and other bakery items, you won't want to leave until you have enjoyed our special treat, which we call "the Queen's Apple." This fresh picked, sliced apple becomes a gourmet delight, drizzled with homemade caramel, then topped with whipped cream, a maraschino cherry, and your choice of peanuts, M & M's, Oreos, or Reece's Pieces topping!
Be sure you also try the Apple Cider Slush Drink, and favorite that brings guests back again and again.
